a long rope of 61.6 CM a long has been divided in two equal parts the length of each part is 8.8 cm how many parts are made of rope... please tell please fast!!​

The question is not very clear.

From what i could make out, you seem to mean that when both ropes are cut into some equal parts , each of the final part should be of equal length. In that case, the solution is very simple.

Just find the hcf(highest common factor) of length of both rope, thats the answer!!!

Here lengths are 20 and 16. So its hcf will be 4.(Dont ask me how!!!) So the maximum length of each rope can be 4m only. Also the number of pieces will be 4 and 5 form longer and shorter one respectively. So total pieces are 9 with each one of them 4 m long.
