Given:

A long solenoid having 2000 turns per metre carries a current of 7.8 A.

To find:

Field intensity inside solenoid?

Calculation:

General expression of field intensity inside solenoids is :

 \rm \: B =   \mu_{0} \times n \times i

  • 'n' is turns per unit lenth
  • 'i' is current

 \rm  \implies\: B =   4\pi \times  {10}^{ - 7}  \times 2000\times 7.8

 \rm  \implies\: B =   196035.3\times  {10}^{ - 7}

 \rm  \implies\: B  \approx 0.0196 \: T

So, magnetic field intensity at centre of solenoid is approximately 0.0196 Tesla.
