A lotus flower is blooming in a lake.The flower is 1/2metres above the surface of the lake.When the western wind blows,the flower droops at a distance of 2 metre from the base.Find the depth of the lake

Solution:

Distance of lotus flower from the surface of lake = \frac{1}{2}

When , Western wind started blooming, Lotus drooped.

Now, distance between lotus and base = 2 meter

So, Depth of Lake that is from top surface to ground = 2 -  \frac{1}{2}= \frac{3}{2} meter

So,Depth of lake . that is distance of top of surface of water to bottom of lake=  \frac{3}{2} meter
