A machine gun can fire 50g bullets with a velocity of 150m/s . A stone of 60 kg is moving towards the machine gun velocity of 10 m/s. How many bullets must be fired from the gun to stop the stone in its tracks?

This is all about the Conservation of Momentum.

n * 0.050 * 150 = 60 * 10
n * 7.5 = 600
n = 600/7.5
n = 80

80 bullets are required to stop the stone of 60 kg in mid air which is travelling at the speed of 10 m/s.
