Solution : According to given, a machine gun fires 360 bullets per minute.

Now, we need to find, how much bullets fires in one sec.

→ Number bullets fire in one sec, n = 360/60

→ Number bullets fire in one sec, n = 6

We know from given, the mass of one bullet is 5 gram.

Now, {we convert 5 gram into kilogram}

→ 5 gram = {5/1000} Kg

→ 5 gram = 0.005 Kg

→ Mass of one bullet, m = 0.005 Kg

→ Velocity of one bullet, v = 600 m/s

We know that, bullets need energy which is, kinetic energy (K.E.) to move forward, hence

→ K.E. of one bullets = ½ * m * v²

→ K.E. of one bullets = ½ * 0.005 * (600)²

→ K.E. of one bullets = ½ * 0.005 * 360000

→ K.E. of one bullets = 0.0025 * 360000

→ K.E. of one bullets = 0.0025 * 360000

→ K.E. of one bullets = 900 Joule

We know that, machine gun fires six bullets per sec. Hence, we need to find how much kinetic energy does a machine gun need to fire six bullets.

→ K.E to fire six bullets = 6 * 900

→ K.E to fire six bullets = 5400 Joule

We know that time taken by machine gun to fire six bullet is one sec. and firing six bullet is a work of machine gun, machine gun require kinetic energy to perform this work. Hence, Work = K.E.
