let cp be x
sp when profit is 20 percent = x+(1/5×x)
sp when profit is 25 percent =x+(1/4×x)
difference between the two =35
so x+1x/4- (x+1x/5)=35
1x/4-1x/5=35
x/20=35
x=20×35
x=700
CP of the article is 700
hence the answer is b
