This problem can be solved by using direct proportion formula.
 \frac{1500}{45}  =  \frac{x}{120}
1500 \times 120 = 45x
 \frac{1500 \times 120}{45}  = x
x = 4000

The number of newspapers the machine prints in 2 hours = 4000

Given :

A machine prints 1500 newspapers in 45 minutes

To find :

The number of newspapers the machine prints in 2 hours

Solution :

Step 1 of 2 :

Form the equation

Let the number of newspapers the machine prints in 2 hours = x

2 hours = 120 minutes

By the given condition

1500 : 45 = x : 120

Step 2 of 2 :

Find the number of news papers

\displaystyle \sf{  1500 : 45 = x : 120}

\displaystyle \sf{ \implies  \frac{1500}{45} =  \frac{x}{120}  }

\displaystyle \sf{ \implies x = 120 \times  \frac{1500}{45}  }

\displaystyle \sf{ \implies x = 120 \times  \frac{100}{3}  }

\displaystyle \sf{ \implies x = 40 \times 100}

\displaystyle \sf{ \implies x = 4000}

Hence the number of newspapers the machine prints in 2 hours = 4000
