Given :

Magnetic field strength (H) = 2×10^5A/m

Relative permeability of material (μr)=  1.01

Find:

The value of B and M

Solution:

We know that ,

B = μH       (μ = μr * μo)

B= μr * μo * H

  = 1.01 * 4π * 10^-7 * 2* 10^-2

B  = 808 π * 10 ^ -4 T

also ,  μr = 1 + x

x = μr -1 = 1.01 - 1 = 0.01

and x= M/H

therefore, M = x*H = 0.01 * 2* 10^5

                               M= 2* 10 ^3

The values of B is 808 π * 10 ^ -4 T and M is 2* 10 ^3.
