When power is taken away from central and state government and given to local government it is called decentralisation
The different provisions are
i)It is constitutionally mandatory to hold regular elections to government bodies.
ii)At least one third of all positions are reserved for womens.
iii)Seats are reserved for SCs, STs, and OBCs.
