Let the number of days be x

Let money spent per day be x

(both are x because he spent as many rupees every day as number of days.)

Therefore, X x X ( x into x) = 1296.

x² (x square) = 1296.

x = (square root) of 1296.

x = 36.

★ Therefore the man spent Rs 36 everyday in 36 day - tour.

Let the total number of days he spent at the tour be a

Then, the amount of money he spent each day is also Rs. a

So, total amount spent in the entire tour =Rs. a×a=a

2

=Rs1296

=>a=

1296

=36

Hence, the tour was for 36 days
