Step-by-step explanation:

Work rate of man and boy together,

= 100/24 = 4.16% per day.

As work completed in 26 days and man has work on last 6 days alone. So,

Man and boy have worked together on the work for (26 - 6 = 20 days.)

Quantum of work completed in 20 days,

= 4.16 * 20 = 83.33%.

Rest work = 100 - 83.33 = 16.67% work has been done by man in 6 days.

So, work rate of the man = 16.67/6 = 2.77% per day.

Now, work rate of boy = 4.16 - 2.77 = 1.38% per day (approx)

Thus, boy alone can complete the whole work in,

= 100/1.38 = 72 days (approx)

♡ ↪☛ Last 6 days boy alone does work. They worked together for 22 days (Because the whole work complete in 28 days). Assume total work = 24 units. Rest work =24−22units=2 units.
