Answer:man's present share = 3x

wife's pesent share = 2x

total = 5x

after doubling: sum = 10x

but he still wants only 3x

so his fraction = 3x/10x = 3/10

so his wife's share = 7/10

they should divide it in the ration of 3 : 7

\large\underline{\underline{\sf Given:}}

  • A man and his wife share a sum of money in the ratio = 3:2.

\large\underline{\underline{\sf To\:Find:}}

  • If the sum of money is doubled, in what ratio should they divide it so that the man still receives the same amount = ?

\large\underline{\underline{\sf Solution:}}

Let ,

Man share = 3x

Wife share = 2x

Total = 5x

\large\underline{\underline{\sf According\: to\: question:}}

Sum of money double , then :

Total sum will be = \sf{5x × 2}

\large\implies{\sf 10x }

But ,

Man get the same amount i.e = 3x

So, his wife must get :-

\large\implies{\sf 10x-3x }

\large\implies{\sf 7x}

So the ratio is now 3:7

\Large\underline{\underline{\sf Answer:}}

•°•So , if the sum of money is double they must divide in ratio of 3:7
