Answer:

firstly we will add loss to the selling price

=  852 + 48 = 900

then we will find out 5% of 900

=  45

then we will add 45 to 900

= 945

so he should sell the art at Rs 945 to get a 5% profit

Ans = 945.

Hope it helps.

Answer:

As per given in the question, A man Loss on an article of 48 rupees and Selling Price for an article is 852 rupees and we are said to find Cost Price. So firstly find Cost Price is equal to Selling Price add to Loss. After finding Cost Price then we are said to find Selling Price as given 5% profit on getting value of Cost Price. So now as we know formulae of Selling Price is Cost Price is multiple of (100 + Profit%) by 100. So let's find.

Using Formula:

 \:  \:  \sf \: cost \: price = selling \: price  + loss

Now substitute known values

 \:  \:   \sf \: cost \: price = 852 + 48 \\  \\  \:  \:  \sf \: cost \: price = 900 \: rupees

Hence, Cost Price is 900 rupees.

Using Formula:

 \:  \:  \sf \: sp = cp \times  \frac{100 + profit \: perent}{100}

Now substitute the values

 \:  \:  \sf \: sp = 900  \times  \frac{100 + 5}{100}  \\  \\  \:  \:  \sf \: sp = 900  \times  \frac{105}{100}  \\  \\  \:  \:  \sf \: sp = 945 \: rupees

Hence,Selling Price is 945 rupees.
