Since, for first 2 years

P=Rs 16000 ; r=20% ; t = 2 years

S. I = (p x r x t) / 100

=( 16000 x 20 x 2) / 100

= rs 6400

Amount after 2 years = rs 16000 + rs 6400

= rs 22400

Amount after 3rd year is compounded half yearly,

P = rs 22400, r = 20%, n = 1 year
