the solution is an example of your question seeing this try to solve yours

Short trick:-

Number of articles / what needs to be done X what has already been done.

According to the question,

Number of articles =6(toffees)

What needs to be done = 150% (100%+50% profit)

What has already been done = 100%(nothing is given related to loss and profit so assume it 100%)

Therefore,

6/150 X 100 = 4 toffees

Similarly you can solve the other questions of the same pattern:-

By selling toffees at 45 for a rupee, a man loses 8%. How many toffees must he sell for a rupee in order to gain 15%?

SOL) Number of articles = 45

What needs to be done = (100%+15%) = 115%

What has already been done = (100%-8%) = 92%

Therefore,

45/115 X 92 = 36 toffees , which is the required answer.

I hope it helps.
