\sf\large\underline{Given:}

\rm{\implies Total\: number\:of\:eggs=360}

\rm{\implies Cost\: price\:per\:dozen=Rs.12}

\rm{\implies Selling\: price\:per\:dozen=Rs.15}

\sf\large\underline{To\: Find:}

\rm{\implies Profit\:or\:loss\: percent}

\sf\large\underline{Solution:}

  • At first calculate the No of D than cost price of eggs similarly calculate the selling price of eggs than calculate loss or profit % ]

\rm{\implies Number\:of\: dozen=\frac{Total\: eggs}{No\:of\: eggs\:1\:D}}

\rm{\implies Number\:of\: dozen=\dfrac{360}{12}}

\rm{\implies Number\:of\: dozen=30}

  • Now calculate cost price of eggs]

\tt{\implies Cost\: price=No\:of\:D\times\:per\:D\:rate}

\tt{\implies Cost\: price=30(12)}

\tt{\implies Cost\: price=Rs.360}

  • Than calculate selling price of eggs]

Given, that 30 eggs were rotten,so

Total No of selling eggs=360-30

Total No of selling eggs=330

\tt{\implies Selling\: price=\frac{No\:of\:eggs\times\:rate}{No\:of\: eggs\:in\:1\:D}}

\tt{\implies Selling\: price=\dfrac{330\times\:15}{12}}

\tt{\implies Selling\: price=\dfrac{4950}{12}}

\tt{\implies Selling\: price=Rs.412.5}

  • It's clearly mentioned above that SP is greater than CP so, we get profit here,]

\tt{\implies P\%=\dfrac{SP-CP}{CP}\times\:100}

\tt{\implies P\%=\dfrac{412.5-360}{360}\times\:100}

\tt{\implies P\%=\dfrac{52.5}{360}\times\:100}

\tt{\implies P\%=\dfrac{5250}{360}}

\tt{\implies P\%=14.58\%}

Hence,

  • The man will get profit of 14.58%]

\tt{\underbrace{Answer-14.58\%}}

Answer:

Total dozen=360/12

Total dozen=30

Cost price=30×12

Cost price=360

Selling price

30 eggs got broken

so selling no of egg=360-30=330

Selling price=330×15/12

Selling price=412.5

so,

p=Sp-Cp

P=412.5.360

P=52.5

p%=52.5×100/360

P%=14.583%
