Answer:

The man got a profit of 33.33%

Step-by-step explanation:

Cost price of 400 m of cloth = Rs. 40000

Selling price of 1.5m of cloth = Rs. 200

Selling price of 400 m of cloth = (200/1.5) * 400 =Rs. 53,333.33

Here Selling price is greater than cost price, therefore profit.

%Profit = [(SP-CP)/CP]*100

            =[(53333.33-40000)/40000] * 100

            = 33.33 %

Hence he got a profit of 33.33%.

Answer:

400 meters =40,000

1metre= 100

then cost price of 1.5m =150m( as half meter is equal to 50 rupees)

sp of 1.5m=200

profit=(200-150)/150*100=33.33
