Given :

  • Price at which se bought = Rs. 1600
  • Discount she got = 20%

To Find :

  • Marked Price = ?

Solution :

We know that,

 \bf \longrightarrow \boxed{ \bf \: M.P. =  \dfrac{100}{100 - Discount\%}  \times S.P. }

Substituting the values,

 \sf \longrightarrow\sf \: M.P. =  \dfrac{100}{100 - 20\%}  \times 1600

 \sf \longrightarrow\sf \: M.P. =  \dfrac{100}{100 - 20}  \times 1600

 \sf \longrightarrow\sf \: M.P. =  \dfrac{100}{80}  \times 1600

 \sf \longrightarrow\sf \: M.P. =  \dfrac{100}{8 \cancel0}  \times 160 \cancel0

 \sf \longrightarrow\sf \: M.P. =  \dfrac{100}{ \not8 }  \times  \cancel{160} { \: }^{20}

 \sf \longrightarrow\sf \: M.P. =  100 \times 20

  \red{\sf \longrightarrow\bf \underline{  \boxed{\bf M.P. =Rs.  \:  2000}} \:  \bigstar } \:

Hence, the Marked Price is 2,000.
