cp of 12 lemons = 36 rupees
sp of 10 lemons= 40 rupees means
sp of 1 lemon= 4 rupees
therefore sp of 12 lemons = 12*4 = 48
as sp is greater than cp so there will be gain of 48-36= 12 rupees
so gain % = 12/36* 100= 33.33%

tyagibhai2301: Answer is wrong .there is a gain

12 lemon= 36rs
1 lemon=3rs
cost of 1 lemon is 3 rupees

10 lemon = 40rs
1 lemon = 4rs
1 lemon is sold for 4rs
therefore the profit is 4-3= 1 rupees

gain%=gain/CP x 100
gain%=1/3 x 100
gain%=100/3
gain%=33.333333333...%
