Solution :-

Given :
A man bought notebooks at the rate of rupees 25 per dozen.

Cost Price of 1 notebook = Rs 25/12

He sold them at the rate of rupees 25 for a packet of five books.
Selling price of 1 notebook = Rs 25/5 = Rs 5

Selling price is greater than the Cost price. Therefore, Profit.

Profit = S.P - C.P
= Rs (5 - 25/12)
= Rs (60 - 25)/12
= Rs 35/12

Profit % = (profit × 100)/C.P %
= (35/12 × 100)/25/12 %
= (35 × 100 × 12)/(25 × 12)%
= 140%

Hence,
Profit percent = 140%

Cost of 12 book= rs. 72

Cost of one book = 72÷12 = 6

Now he buys one book in rs. 6

Now,

He sell 5 book = rs. 25

Cost of one book = 25÷5 = 5

He sell one book in rs. 5

Now compare cost price and selling price

Cost price > selling price

So,

He has get a loss of rs. 1

hope it works ✌️
