let x dozen be the total number of oranges puchased.

Then, cost price of 2x oranges = 10x + 8x = 18x

Profit = S.P - C.P = 120
22x - 18x =120
4x = 120
x = 30

It means he purchade 30 dozen of oranges.
and selling price of 2x oranges = 2x * 11 = 22x

Answer:60 dozen

Step-by-step explanation: Let x dozen and x dozen of oranges is purchased at Rs 10 per dozen and Rs 8 per dozen respectively.

Then total no. of arange purchased = 2x dozen

Now CP of 2x dozen = 10x + 8x = 18x

SP of 2x dozen = 11 *2x = 22x

SP - CP = 120

or 22x - 18x = 120

or 4x = 120

or x = 30

Thus, total no of orange purchased = 2x dozen or 2*30=60 dozen
