Rs. 18=12 eggs
Rs.20=12eggs
total c.p. 24eggs=Rs. 38
12 eggs =Rs. 10
then SP of 12 eggs=23.75
so gain 23.75-19=4.75
gain%=4.75/19*100=25%

Answer:

25%

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the dozen of eggs of two consignment of eggs each

Cost of x dozen of eggs at rate of 18 per dozen = 18x

Cost of x dozen of eggs at rate of 20 per dozen = 20x

Total CP = 18x+20x=38x

He mixed tge consignment and sold tge eggs at 23.75 per dozen

SP of 1 dozen = 23.75

SP of 2x dozens = 2x(23.75)=47.5x

Profit = SP - CP = 47.5 x - 38 x

Profit% = \frac{47.5x-38x}{38x} \times 100

Profit% = 25\%

Hence the gain % is 25%
