A man bought two cycles for rupees 1040 he sold one at a loss of 15% and other at a profit of 36 % and then he found that each cycle was sold for the same price find the CP of each cycle

CP2 and SP2 for 2nd cycle

Given,

each cycle was sold for the same price

SP1=SP2

Let CP1=x

     CP2=(1040-x)

We know that SP=((100+gain)/100)*CP

SP1=(100+gain)/100*x

SP2=(100-loss)/100*(1040-x)

(136/100)*x=(85/100)*(1040-x)

136x=88400-85x

221x=88400

x=400 (CP1)

1040-400=640(CP2)
