Answer:

Let the C.P. of the 1st scooter = Rs. x.

Then, C.P. of the 2nd scooter = Rs. (18000−x)

S.P. of 1st scooter = Rs. x×100125= Rs. 45x

S.P. of 2nd scooter = Rs. (18000−x)×10080 = Rs. 54(18000−x)

Since Mohan neither gains nor loses, his total S.P. = Total C.P.

⇒45x+54(18000−x)=18000

⇒45x−54x=18000−14400=3600

⇒2025x−16x=3600⇒9x=3600×20

⇒x=93600×20=8000

∴ C.P. of 1st scooter = Rs. 800
