a man builds 1/8th of the wall everyday out of the length of the wall built everyday 20% of the wall falls at the end of the day till the wall is completely built in how many days can we complete the construction of the wall

part built on every day = \frac{1}{8}

20% of \frac{1}{8} falls at the end of the each day

thus ,

part built on each day = 80% of \frac{1}{8} = \frac{1}{10} parts

at the end of the 9th day \frac{9}{10} part of the wall is built

then

time taken to complete the remaining one part is

\frac{\frac{1}{10} }{\frac{1}{8} } \\\\\frac{1}{10} \times \frac{8}{1}\\\\=\frac{4}{5}

therefore , the construction of the wall  will be completed in \frac{4}{5} days
