CP = 5 x 36= 180
total number of eggs = 5x 12= 60
number of broken eggs
= 5/100 x 60
=3
remaining eggs = 60-3 = 57
Now
number of dozen = 57/12 =( 4+ 3/4) dozen
cost of 4 dozen = 48 x 4= 192
cost of 3/4 dozen = 3/4 x 48 = 36
total money = 192 + 36 = 228
gain = 228 - 180 = 48
therefore, his total gain=Rs48
