= 180 rupees

= ( 12 ) ( 5 )

= 60 eggs in total

5% of 60 eggs is = ( 5 ÷ 100 ) ( 60 )

( 1 ÷ 20 ) ( 60 )

= 3 eggs ( 3 eggs are broken )

Number of eggs left = 57

sold for 48 rupees for dozen,

1 egg = 48 ÷ 12

1 egg costs = 4 rupees

total selling price = ( 57 ) ( 4 )

= 228 rupees

Gain = 228 - 180

= 48 rupees ]
