The man buys 5 dozen eggs
Total eggs bought by man = 12 × 5   = 60 eggs
Also given 5 % eggs broken , So

Broken eggs = 5 × 60100 = 6020 = 3 eggs

Remaining eggs = 60 - 3 = 57 eggs

Cost of one dozen eggs = Rs 36

Cost of total 5 dozen egg  = 36 × 5  = Rs . 180

The man sold the remaining eggs for Rs. 48 per dozen

Cost of one egg = 4812 = Rs.  4
Therefore, he sold the remaining eggs for = 57 × 4  = Rs . 228

Total gain= 228 - 180 = Rs. 48

Gain percentage  = 48180 × 100 = 4800180 = 26.67 %                                                    ( Ans )

Answer:

48

Step-by-step explanation:

Cp of 1 dozen eggs=36

Cp of 5 dozen eggs=36X5

                                 =180

      total eggs=12x5=60

  broken eggs=5%of 60

                        =5/100x60/1

                        =3

remaining eggs=60-3

                         =57

   Sp of 12 eggs=48

       Sp of 1 egg=48/12x57/1

                          =228(57x4)

     cp=180

     sp=228

  gain=sp-cp

         =228-180

         =48
