cost of car = 40000

rate of depreciation = 3/4

cost of car after 1st  year = 40000 x 3/4

                                           = 30000

cost of car after 2nd year = 30000 x 3/4

                                            = 22500

cost of car after 3rd year =22500 x 3/4

                                            16875

therefore , cost of car after 3 years is 16875 Rs
