Answer:

↪ Original Cost Price = Rs. 4200

↪ Addition repair cost = Rs. 1000

↪ Selling Price = Rs. 5400

↪ Gain % = ?

Net Cost Price = Rs. 4200 + Rs. 1000 = Rs. 5200

Selling Price = Rs. 5400

⇒ Gain = SP - CP

⇒ Gain = 5400 - 5200 = Rs. 200

∴ Gain% = ( Gain / CP ) × 100

⇒ Gain% = ( 200 / 5200 ) × 100

⇒ Gain% = ( 200 / 52 )

⇒ Gain% = 3.84%

Hence Gain% on the scooter is 3.84 %.
