Hello
---------

A man buys an electric motor of 10 horse power rating.

We know,

1 Horse Power = 746 Watts

So, Power of the motor in watts = (746 × 10) Watts = 7460 Watts

Work done = w = ?

We know,

Power (P) = Work done (W) / Time taken (t)

7460 = w/1

=> w = 7460 Joules

Thus , the motor does 7460 joules work in 1 second.
