Answer:

Ratio of SPIRIT TO WATER = 10:1

Explanation:

Selling Price SP = Rs. 75

Profit P% = 37.5%

CP  = 60 / liter

therefore, CP as per profit ratio = 75 - [ 75*\frac{37.5}{137.5} ]   = 54.54

Quantity of spirit to be bought from Rs 54.54 = \frac{54.54}{60}   = 0.909 liter

Quantity of water to be mixed with spirit (to get One liter Mixture) = 1 - 0.909 = 0.0909 liter

therefore, Ratio of SPIRIT TO WATER = 0.909 : 0.0909

= 10 : 1

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Selling Price of the spirit = SP = Rs. 75  L (Given)

Cost price of the spirit = CP  = 60 L (Given)

Profit P% = 37.5%

Let the cost of resultant mixture be = Rs. 'c' per litre

Thus, 37.5% = 3/8th of a commodity, then

= C+(3/8)×c = 75

= 11/8 C =75

= C = 600/11

= 54.54

Thus, by using the allegation formula -

The two values will be 54.54 and 5.46

Required ratio

= 54.46/5.46

= 9.98

= 10:1

Thus, the required ratio is 10:1.
