man buys in 3 Rs = 10 toffee
so he buys in 1 Rs = 10/3 toffees

he sell in 3 ruppee = 8 toffees
he sell in 1 ruppee = 8/3 toffees

gain= CP-SP
=10/3 - 8/3
= 2/3

gain%=
 \frac{total \: gain}{cp}  \times 100
gain%=
 \frac{2 \div 3}{10 \div 3}  \times 100
 \frac{2}{3}  \times  \frac{3}{10}  \times 100
 \frac{2}{10 }  \times 100
20% gain ans.
