A man can open a nut by applying a force of 100kgf by using a lever of handle of 3m. What should be length of a lever of another handle if the force required to open the nut is 60kgf?

Let the force of applying to open a nut be F1=150N

Force applied on opening it at the length of the handle F2 =60N

Lever handle of length L2=0.4 m

ATP:-

F1×L1=F2×L2

150×0.4=60×L2 (Which we have to find....)

(150×4)/10×60=L2

THEREFORE L2=1m

Hence, the Length of handle will the man be able to open by applying a force of 60N=1m

HOPE THIS HELPS..
