Let the speed of man and speed of the stream be y and x resp.
Atq, 16/x-y = 1 and 22/x+y = 1
16=x-y and 22 = x +y
Adding the above equations:
38=2x
x = 19
:. The speed of stream is 19 km/hr
16=19-y
y=19-16
y = 3
:. The speed of the man is 3km/hr.
