the person climbing in the slope would need more work because the directional wind would resist your motion and creates more friction and the accelerated body on the feet in the slope makes to do more work therefore it is hard to climb in a slope that the level land

the man who is climbing on a slope has more energy since he has potential energy but the man on road does not have P.E.
