A man completed trip of 136 km in 8hours some part of the trip was covered at 15km/hr and the reamining at 18 km/he. Find the part of the trip covered at 18 hours

speed=distance/time=136/8=17kmph

let some part of the trip covered at 15kmph is x

time=dist/speed= x/15

and the other part of the trip covered ar 18kmph is 136-x

time=(136-x)/18

total time=8hrs

8=x/15+(136-x)/18

by solving the above equation

we get the value of x=40km which is the trip covered at 15kmph

the part of the trip covered at 18hrs= 136-x=136-40=96km
