In this problem, finishing the job means that 8/8 of the job has been completed which is equivalent to 1 (8/8=1).
Given that,
no. of days required to complete 5/8 of the job = 10
So, no. of days required to complete 8/8 of the job = [10÷(5/8)]x8/8 ((using unitary method))
= [(10x8)/5]x1 = 80/5 = 16
Days left to complete the job=16-10=6
Thus,6 more days will be taken by him to finish the job.
