Given:

1st case:

Time=2hours 45min = 2 (45/60)
= 2 ¾= 11/4 h

Speed= 4 km/h

Speed = Distance/time

Distance= speed × time

Distance= 4 ×(11/4)= 11 km

Distance = 11 km

2nd case

Given:

Speed= 6.5 km/h

Distance= 11 km (he has to cover same distance as in 1st case)

Time = Distance/speed

Time= 11/6.5= 110/65= 22/13h

Time = 22/13 h = (22/13) × 60 = 1320/13 = 101.53 = 102 minutes (approx)

Time= 1h 42 min or 102 min.

Hence, he will take 1h 42 min or 102 min to cover the same distance.

Solution :-

Given : Time Taken = 2 hr 45 minutes = 2 3/4 hrs = 11/4 hrs

Speed = 4 km/hr

Distance = Speed*Time

⇒ 4*11/4

= 11 km

So, distance is 11 km.

Now, if speed is 6.5 km or 13/2 km/hr then the time taken to cover the same distance of 11 km

⇒ Time = Distance/Speed

⇒ 11 ÷ 13/2

⇒ (11*2)/13

⇒ 22/13 hrs

⇒ Time in minutes = (22*60)/13

⇒ 1320/13 = 101.538 minutes or 102 minutes (Approximately)
