and the distance covered in first and second half = S1,S2 respectively= s /2.
speed in first half = v1
speed in second half ate v2 and v3 for equal time (t).
therefore,first we have to calculate the av speed in second half :-
av speed = total distance÷ total time
= {(v2)t + (v3) t } ÷2t
= (v2 + v3) ÷2
now calculating av speed for whole journey ( refer image ) ,we get
{2v1(v2 + v3 )}÷{ 2v1 + v2+ v3}
