Answer:

As no measurements are given the average speed can be calculated as :-

average  \: speed \:  =   \frac{v1 + v2 + v3}{3}

Concept:

The entire distance traveled by the object in a specific amount of time is its average speed.

Distance is the actual path length that a moving object covers in a given amount of time.

An object changing its location with regard to space and time is referred to as being in motion. Displacement, distance, velocity, acceleration, time, and speed are all used to define motion.

Given:

A man covers equal distances with speeds v_1,v_2,v_3 .

Find:

The average speed of the man.

Solution:

The velocities of the man are v_1,v_2,v_3 .

Let the time taken be,

t_1=t_2=t_3=t

Average speed can be given as the total distance traveled by a man in a certain amount of time.

So,

v_{avg}=\frac{v_1\times t_1+v_2\times t_2+v_3\times t_3}{t_1+t_2+t_3}

v_{avg}=\frac{t(v_1+v_2+v_3)}{3t}

v_{avg}=\frac{v_1+v_2+v_3}{3}

The average speed of the man is \frac{v_1+v_2+v_3}{3} .
