A man covers 8-meters towards north, turns west and covers 12-

meters, then turns south and covers 4-meters and then turns east

and covers 12-meters. How far is he now from the starting point?​

The person is 4 meters north from his starting point now.

Let the man start traveling from point A. We have been given that he covers 8 m towards the North. Let it be towards point B.

Now, we have been given that the man turns west and travels 12 meters. let it be towards point C

Now he travels 4 meters south from point C. Let it be towards point D

Now again, the person travels 12 meters east toward point E.

At this point, the person is north of point A, and the distance between the point A and E is 8 - 4 = 4 m
