A man covers a Distance from a town A To Town b on scooter at 30 km per hour and ride back from B to a at 20 km per hour find his average speed during the whole journey

solution.

Average speed= total distance covered/ total time taken.

so, total distance travelled= 2x (let distance from A to B= x)

Time taken to cover x distance at 30km/h

=> t1= x/30

now, t2= x/ 20
so, tatal time taken= x/30+ x/20

= (2x+ 3x)/ 60

= 5x/60

= x/12 h

Now, according to formula.

Average speed = 2x/ (x/12)

= 12*2

= 24km/h

hence average speed= 24km/h
