Total distance = 110 km; Total time taken = 10 h

Speed of walking = 9 km/h ; Speed cycling= 15 km/h

Let t be the time taken for walk.

Time taken for cycling = 10-t

110= t x 9 + (10-t) x 15

t = 40/6 = 20/3

Verification:

9 x t = 9 x (20/3) = 60 km

(10-t) x 15 =[10-(20/3)] x 15 = 50 km

50+60 =110

Ans: Distance traveled on foot = 60 km
