The average speed of man is 19.203km/h

The average speed of man can be calculated by determining the total time taken to cover the total distance.

time taken to covers first 10km =10/10=1hr

time taken to covers second 10km =10/20= 0.5 hr

time taken to covers next 10km =10/10=0.33 hr

time taken to covers next 10km =10/40=0.25 hr

total time taken is 1+-.5+0.33+0.25=2.018 hr

average speed = total distance/total time

                         =40/2.083

                         =19.23 km/hr

the average speed of man is 19.23 km/hr
