A man cycles at 12 km per hour. How much distance does he cover in 35 minutes?

THIS IS JUST AN example

Time taken to cover 20 km at speed 5 km/hr = 4 hours

∴ Fixed time = 4 hour - 40 minutes = 3 hour 20 min

Time taken to cover 20 km at the speed 8 km/hr = 20/8 = 2 hours 30 minutes

∴ Required time = 3 hours 20 minutes - 2 hr 30 min

=50 minutes

So 12/2 for speed in half an hour
= 6km per every half hour
Again 12/12 = Speed in every 5minutes
= 1km per 5 minutes
35 minutes = 30 minutes + 5 minutes
= 6km + 1 km
= 7km in 35 minutes
