A man decided to give 36% of his first salary to his younger brother. But later he changed his mind and gave rs.5688 to his brother which was 75% of what he had intially decided to give. If the man had not changed his mind then what excees amount his brother would have got?

The answer to this question is 1788.  It is because the man initially decide  to give thirty six percents of his first salary to the younger brother.

When he changed his mind, he gave Rs, 5688. If it is  75% of the previous amount, then the percentage will be 39%.

The calculated amount is 3900. Hence the excess amount will be Rs. 1788.
