A man digging a pat found that could dig with ease initially but digging become difficult as he went deeper . he could not dig beyond a depth of 5 feet . state suitable scientific reason

the material is very hard material like any big stone layers are there you know or not

since density of soil increases on going down due to high pressure from the above soil...makes it hard to remove tightly pressed soil particles from one another......hence more power is needed to do so

:). also on going down more hard rocks (e.g dolomite) comes which are very hard to break
