let the number of children be = x
and the amount recieved by them be = y

if there were 3 children less :
(x - 3) = ( y +60)
solving this equation we get
x - y = 57 -------------- (1)

if 2 childern more :
(x+3) = (y-20)
solving this equation we get
 x - y = - 23 -------------- (2)

solve these equations by any meathod you wish
and you will get the right answer

AdithiPatel: hope it helps you
KaNSHU5771: How can u equate no. of children with amount !!
AdithiPatel: i said u to equate the 2 equations
AdithiPatel: there you will get the values of the 2 variables
KaNSHU5771: According to what you have solved x - y has 2 values.... How ???
