a man donated 1 by 10 of his money to a school one by sixth of the remaining to a church and remaining money he distributed equally among his three children and if child gets rupees 50000 how much money did the Man original have

Such probems can be solved either by percentage theory or using algebra..

We assume he has Rs X

1/10 of X = X/10 donated to school

1/6 of X = X/6 donated to church

So, remaining =

X - (X/10 + X/6 )

= X - (16X/60 )

= 44X/60 was distributed among 3 chidren

So, each gets (44X/60) ÷3

=> 11X/45 = 50000

=> 11X = (50,000 * 45 )

=> X = 20,4545.45…

He originally had Rs 20,4545 ( approx)
